Target Shooting may not be a thrilling spectator sport, but hitting microscopic targets calls for huge skill. You often hear a lot of talk about ‘margins of error’ in sport. One rowing boat beats another by a length. One horse beats another by a neck. A hockey ball misses goal by an inch. To varying degrees, these are all expressions of
sporting nearness. None of them, however, can claim to be remotely as infinitesimal as the margins of
